maintenance sea rescuers can count on liespm

Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer - SNSM

Les Sauveteurs en Mer (SNSM) and IESPM signed a sponsorship agreement at the SNSM premises in Paris, in the presence of Marc Sauvagnac, General Manager of the SNSM, and Laurent Chapelot, General Manager of IESPM.

Every year, SNSM lifeguards carry out over 5,000 interventions at sea, rescuing more than 8,000 people. Through this partnership, IESPM wishes to make its know-how available to lifeguards at sea, by assisting the SNSM in monitoring their vessels using the oil analysis technique. Boat maintenance is essential to ensure that rescue equipment is available at all times, and to enable interventions to be carried out in complete safety.

A maintenance partner for over 55 years, IESPM is committed to the SNSM's missions, and will monitor the engines and inverters on the boats of the SNSM's 218 lifesaving stations in France and overseas. IESPM also offers to train SNSM's technical management in results interpretation and sampling techniques.

" Partnering with IESPM is a godsend, as our maintenance needs are great; we have to succeed in avoiding breakdowns, increasing the life of our boats, while keeping our maintenance costs under control. We also need to train some of our volunteers in effective maintenance techniques. Oil analysis is one of them "underlines Marc Sauvagnac.
