"Creative Metrology", a new CFM working group

Metrology - Coordinate measuring machine

The CFM has just launched a new working group on the metrology of the future, entitled "Creative Metrology".

The group will be made up of key players from the fields of measurement, digital, industry and laboratories, and aims to lay the foundations for a new metrology capable of challenging projects linked to the factory of the future.

The subject is both vast and cross-disciplinary, covering all industrial sectors.

It also covers a wide range of topics: intelligent sensors, big data, artificial intelligence, traceability and information security, changes in standards... And all this in the context of a connected factory.

France is at the forefront of these trends, and of a reflection that concerns all major industrial countries. The group's vocation is therefore to work initially in a French-speaking environment before broadening its scope.

The aim is to reinvent a metrology that, combined with digital developments, will be at the heart of tomorrow's production systems.

The group will be moderated by Cosimi Corleto, President of CFM and CEO of Stil.

The Collège français de métrologie, the French industrial measurement association, promotes good measurement and metrology practices.

To take part in the working group Creative Metrology all you need to do is become a CFM member.
