Cemafroid obtains Cofrac accreditation for periodic verification of thermometers

As part of its accreditation by the DIRRECTE, the Cemafroid has just been accredited by the Cofrac for periodic verification of thermometers used to measure the temperature of perishable foodstuffs, based on the ISO 17020 standard applicable to inspection activities.
Legal metrology involves the verification of measuring instruments used in commercial transactions, for legal appraisals, or for measurements that may be used as a basis for criminal prosecution or administrative decisions or sanctions, such as gas pumps, shopkeepers' scales or speed cameras. In this respect, it also applies to thermometers used by government officials carrying out temperature checks on perishable goods.
To carry out these operations, the Cemafroid already approved by the DIRRECTE since 2008 and accredited Cofrac for its tests and calibrations since 2005, has obtained accreditation Cofrac This accreditation attests to the fact that the Cemafroid has the facilities and equipment, personnel, quality system, methods and procedures, and the independence, impartiality and integrity required to carry out regulatory audits.
The services provided within this framework will henceforth be identified by the presence of the logo Cofrac Metrology Légaon the audit reports of the Cemafroid in addition to the regulatory green (compliant instruments) or red (non-compliant instruments) compliance stickers affixed to the instruments themselves.
