New T12HP torque transducer: extremely accurate results over the entire measurement range

HBM test & Measurement presents its new T12HP digital torquemeter for dynamic measurements on test benches. The new torquemeter offers unprecedented accuracy and excellent temperature stability. Thanks to a TC0 temperature sensitivity of 0.005 %/10°C, thermal influences have very little impact on the measurement result. The T12HP's FlexRange™ function allows users to perform measurements over any partial range of the nominal span. The very high accuracy of the results is crucial to achieving more efficient drive systems.

The T12HP responds to market requirements for more flexible and efficient test cycles. Requirements found, for example, in engine development to have optimum efficiency. Thanks to the T12HP's high accuracy and integrated FlexRange™ function, users can take measurements over a small part of the sensor's measuring range a little like looking through a magnifying glass. Unlike other technologies used ("Dual Range") on the market, different measurement tasks can be performed employing a simple characteristic curve. Switching to a second scale is now a thing of the past. As a result, test bench set-up times are reduced, operation is easier and the number of tests increased.

CAN, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT and PROFINET interfaces enable easy integration of the T12HP torque transducer into various test bench concepts. The T12HP is installed directly on the drive line, making it maintenance-free. The transducer is available in a range of nominal ranges, from 100 Nm to 10 kNm.
