Eddyfi Technologies acquires Inuktun for robotic inspections

Non-destructive testing - Robot

Eddyfi Technologies confirms the acquisition of Inuktun, a manufacturer of camera systems and robotic vehicles.

Based in Nanaimo, British Columbia (Canada) with over thirty years' experience in the field, Inuktun offers robotic systems that bridge the gap between non-destructive inspection operators and the physical world in which they work, helping customers to see the invisible and go beyond physical inspection limitations. Inuktun has 70 employees and offices in Houston, Texas, as well as a significant presence with business partners in Aberdeen, Scotland and Perth, Australia.

This strategic acquisition is Eddyfi Technologies' sixth in 32 months. The move benefits the company's technology portfolio, grows the customer base, expands opportunities for product development and synergy, while adding new talent and world-renowned non-destructive testing experts to the team. Martin Thériault, President and CEO of Eddyfi Technologies, announced: " we are very proud to welcome Colin and the innovative people of Inuktun to Eddyfi Technologies. Their high-end products, combined with their expertise and the standards they have set in the industry, complement our business. It's a significant challenge to combine Inuktun's robotics with our probes and instruments, and we firmly believe that in this way, we will succeed in meeting the market's most demanding needs. Customers can now select from a variety of standard Inuktun cameras, controllers and robotic vehicles to create a customized solution that perfectly meets their expectations. "

The transaction officially unites Inuktun with the Eddyfi Technologies group. Sales and service of Inuktun systems, training, product rentals, equipment calibration and repair, and technical support will now be provided by the expanded Eddyfi Technologies team. As a result, all Inuktun employees officially join the Eddyfi Technologies team, and Inuktun employees in the United States will be relocated to Eddyfi Technologies' offices in Houston, Texas.

Colin Dobell, President and CEO of Inuktun Services Ltd adds: " For several years now, we have been seeking to establish partnerships with companies in the NDT field who are in a position to develop and maximize the potential of our products. This association makes us allies of one of the industry's top players! Our systems and technologies are the perfect complement for many Eddyfi Technologies customers, and the combination of these two companies will strengthen our position as market leader. This makes it all the more possible for us to offer truly unique solutions by combining the best NDT products with our robotic solutions. The opportunities ahead seem limitless.
