Understanding and practicing during the 2020 measurement days

Contrôles Essais Mesures - French College of Metrology

Les journées de la mesure, J’M 2020, sont organisées par le Collège français de Métrologie les 16 et 17 juin à Lyon (Terrasse du Parc).

The aim is to address measurement needs as closely as possible, with best practices presented in tutorials and applied in workshops.

The schedule has been revised in comparison with previous editions. The first day is devoted to the basics of metrology and measurement uncertainties. The second day is divided into three sections: dimensional metrology, laboratory metrology and climatic metrology. The range of application sectors covered is vast: mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, agri-food, biology, the environment, etc. Laboratory managers and technicians, quality managers and metrology process managers will all find their way into the content.

The detailed program is as follows:
- Fundamentals and principles of general standards and calibration intervals ...
- Methods for assessing and optimizing uncertainties, with case studies in dimensional and thermometric ...
- Surface finishes: review of technologies and applications, confocal technology workshops
- 3D measurements: assessment of uncertainties, methods and optimization, equipment control and verification...
- pH-metry: general concepts, best practices, calibration by MRC under accreditation ...
- Scales: factors influencing weighing and calibration ...
- Temperatures: technologies, using a sensor, measuring the temperature of a moving fluid...
- Humidity: technologies, calibration of hygrometers, verification and implementation of solutions

Sponsors will be on hand to present their solutions and take part in discussions: Cetiat, CMI, CTS, CT2M, E+E Elektronik, Implex, Kreon technologies, Manumesure, Polyworks, Sartorius, Sika, Stil-Marposs, Trescal.

The two days are punctuated by exchanges around the sponsor stands, lunch buffets and coffee breaks: direct, highly qualified contact and great conviviality are the hallmarks of this event. The 2020 edition should confirm this rule, with a relaxing evening for all participants between the two days. Registration is possible for one or both days. CFM members benefit from a 30 % discount on the proposed rate.
