Trescal announces four acquisitions

Mass flow meter - Pressure

Trescal, the specialist in metrology services, extends its geographical coverage in the Asia-Pacific region with the acquisition of Korea Testing Instruments Calibration Center (KTICC) in South Korea and IPAC Solutions in Australia, strengthens its presence in Brazil with Instituto Amazonense de Metrologia, and adds competence in non-contact 3D measurement with the acquisition of Physical Digital in the UK.

"These acquisitions reflect our strategy of supporting our customers around the world; our aim is to triple in size in the Asia-Pacific region by 2022 and continue to consolidate our presence in North America."says Guillaume Caroit, Managing Director of Trescal.

Since its acquisition by Omers in April 2018, Trescal has made 21 acquisitions confirming its determination to accelerate its international development.

Founded in 1982, KTICC has 57 employees and sales of 5.3 million euros. Based in Seoul and accredited by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme, the laboratory has developed expertise in fiber optics, electrical (DC/LF/RF), gas detection, dimensional and temperature testing.

IPAC Solutions was founded in 1988 and employs 41 people at three sites (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane), with sales of 6.1 million euros to customers in the food and life sciences sectors. The main fields covered by IPAC Solutions are temperature, humidity, pressure and flow measurement, mainly on site. Its complementarity with ACS, the first acquisition made by Trescal in Australia in May 2019, enables the group to provide a "one-stop shop" service offering to the Australian market.

Founded in 2005 in Guildford, Physical Digital specializes in non-contact 3D measurement for the automotive, energy and aerospace industries. According to Trescal, it is the first company in the world to be accredited by NADCAP, a collaborative project with the USA for quality assurance in the aerospace and defense sectors. The company employs 12 people and generates sales of 1.2 million euros.
