Forum Labo: Zeiss Axiovert 5 digital, finalist for the Innovation Trophy 2023

During Forum Labo 2023, the key event for laboratory professionals, which takes place from March 28 to 30 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (hall 4), Zeiss will be presenting the all-new Zeiss Axiovert 5 digital all-in-one microscope. It has been selected as one of three finalists in the Instrumentation category of the Trophées de l'Innovation 2023.

This new microscope is distinguished by the integration of automatic functions based on artificial intelligence to facilitate the daily work of technicians, engineers and researchers in biology laboratories. The Zeiss Axiovert 5 digital is a high-performance all-in-one cell imaging system that meets the needs of laboratories for speed, flexibility, productivity and ease of use. Simply set up the microscope on the table and capture the first image in no time. The system comes preconfigured: there's no need for calibration, adjustment or complex assembly, just a tablet equipped with Zeiss Labscope imaging software.

The Axiovert 5 digital enables laboratory staff to work efficiently, thanks to its intuitive operating concept and great flexibility. The microscope enables different imaging techniques (brightfield, phase contrast, fluorescence) to be used to study cell or tissue cultures. Integrated automatic functions and artificial intelligence make processes more efficient and results more reproducible.

The Axiovert 5 digital's artificial intelligence features make a major contribution to improving operator productivity. AI modules enable cell count and confluence to be determined automatically at the touch of a button, facilitating repetitive observation and analysis tasks.

Its ergonomic design promotes smooth system operation, and it's quick and intuitive to learn, making it suitable for multi-user environments. Users can now trigger single shots, multi-channel image acquisition or video recording at the touch of a button, with a minimum of training and prior knowledge.
