Environne'Tech, Emitech Group, initiated the "Bourgoin-Jallieu 2020" industrial project in 2017 with the expansion of its test center dedicated to equipment qualification and environmental testing. The new 800 m2 10 m high, has been designed to accommodate the testing of large specimens, such as aeronautical or railway parts, complete vehicles or large installations, with dedicated equipment such as a 93 m climatic chamber.3and, more recently, a high-volume earthquake test bench to complement existing equipment.
With the "grand carénages" project and in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear accident, the demand for seismic testing has risen sharply, and specifications have become more stringent in many sectors. It was in response to this trend that Environne'Tech decided to invest in specific equipment. With test capacities multiplied by up to 5, Environne'Tech's new earthquake bench can accommodate heavier and larger specimens than the existing bench. The new table features dimensions of 1,200 x 1,200 mm for qualifying components. The seismic bench excites two axes simultaneously with a force of up to 150 kN, and accepts a maximum on-board mass of 3,000 kg for the Ensemble spectrum and 500 kg for the Component spectrum. It is designed for all types of equipment that must remain functional during and after an earthquake, as in the nuclear sector: power plant safety equipment, control elements, racks, sensors, connectors, lighting, fittings and valves. It also meets the needs of other markets requiring multiaxial stresses, such as the automotive, rail and aerospace industries. The capabilities of the new test bench complement those of the existing one. The test benches enable complex implementation of hydraulic (pressurization and/or fluid circulation) or electrical (connection and monitoring of voltages, currents, temperatures, micro-cuts, etc.) servitudes, as well as instrumentation using various sensors (acceleration, displacement, force, etc.). The addition of a second seismic test bench gives Environne'Tech's customers greater flexibility in their campaigns, in addition to doubling test capacity. The result is a faster service offering and considerably shorter lead times.
