Confirm 2018 success in 1st French industrial region

From the research lab to the after-sales service, Industry, federated under the Global Industry banner, invests in France's leading industrial region. This international event will be held at Eurexpo Lyon, from March 5 to 8, 2019. It benefits from the support of all institutions and public authorities, and in particular the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region.

The success of the 2018 Parisian edition is confirmed, and four months from its opening, the Lyon edition is already more than 90% full! Historically, the Lyonnaise d'Industrie editions have always stood out for their energy and attendance, in a territory where the industrial identity is particularly remarkable.

Global Industrie brings together four professional meetings, each a leader in their market:

  • Industrie, the exhibition for production technologies and equipment,
  • Midest, the benchmark show for all know-how in industrial subcontracting, is back in Lyon after 30 years.

And, for the first time on the territory:

  • Smart industries, industry-oriented trade fair for the future, bringing together players in the connected, collaborative and efficient industry.
  • Tolexpo, exhibition of sheet and coil metalworking, tube and profiles.

Thus, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region will see an unprecedented exhaustive and transversal offer concentrated in a unit of time and place:

  • The entire industrial ecosystem: start-ups, product / solution providers, equipment manufacturers, subcontractors, prime contractors, large groups, regions, etc.
  • The entire value chain: research & innovation, design, production, services, maintenance, training ...
  • All user markets: transport & mobility, energy, agrifood, infrastructure, consumer goods, chemicals, cosmetology, pharmaceuticals, mechanics, defense / military, metallurgy, steel industry, etc.

Global Industrie Lyon will bring together 2,500 exhibitors and represented brands (including 30% international) over 110,000 m² and will welcome 45,000 visitors (including 20% international). Global Industrie does not stop at bringing together all the players in the industrial sphere: it offers a set of services that meet the needs of all visitor profiles.

Technologies and innovations

For exhibitors, the Global Industry Awards are a unique opportunity to showcase their know-how and their innovative spirit more widely to the professionals and journalists present. Technological watch and the search for innovations are the main motivation for the visit of 66% of visitors. Thanks to these trophies, they will be able to more easily identify among the plethora of offers offered by Global Industrie the essential technological innovations of this edition in the following categories: industrial change, new technology, productive performance, exemplary achievement, collaborative success, responsible solution. in 2019, a special mention was created for start-ups.

The identity of the winners of these Awards will be unveiled during the big evening of Tuesday, March 5, 2019 where 1,600 personalities from the industrial world will share this memorable moment, in a friendly atmosphere popular with all.

Employment and training

Finding the skills to scale up is a priority issue for companies… and industrial nations. Because the future is in play now, Global Industrie, creator of links and federator of communities, is deploying its campus on 1,500 m² entirely dedicated to employment and training, which testify to the importance attached to the issue. A system of unprecedented scale and impact, designed as an effective and concrete gateway to training and employment, will give young people, teachers, parents, but also people looking for a job, professional integration or retraining, a complete vision of what the industry offers them.

Accompanied, advised, guided if necessary, all will have the means to easily identify the professions of tomorrow, to choose the orientation that suits them (school, training, internship ...), to discover the accessible training courses, the sectors which recruit, and even to meet and discuss with industrialists, potential future employers.

Factory of the future

A flagship event, the connected factory is an immersive dive into the heart of the industry of the future!

On 1,100 m², the 4.0 production line in operation will concretely show what innovations manufacturers can transpose in their factories to improve their production. This technical feat presented for the first time in Lyon will put even more emphasis than in Paris on interconnectivity and automation: cobotics, augmented reality, predictive maintenance, digitization of production or customization, etc.

Highly acclaimed during their first edition in 2018, the Global Industry conferences will address the issues and solutions that are required today in the industrial sector. On the 2 TV sets of the show, debates, round tables, keynotes, master classes… will focus on the industry of the future: artificial intelligence, environment, open innovation, additive manufacturing, robotics, cybersecurity…

"The past has shown us all the advantages of Global Industrie being held in Lyon, fertile ground for the industry if there is one," says Sébastien Gillet, Director of the show . The announcement of the arrival of major bosses and foreign delegations, the establishment of a waiting list for companies wishing to participate in this event are positive signs which consolidate us in our approach and which are only a foretaste of what awaits visitors to Lyon next March ”.
