Rockwell Automation, a specialist in industrial automation and digital transformation, has completed the acquisition of Asem S.p.A., a leading supplier of digital automation technologies based in Italy.
Asem offers a complete range of industrial PCs, human-machine interface (HMI) hardware and software, remote access solutions and secure IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) gateways.
Integrated into Rockwell Automation's Architecture and Software business segment, this acquisition expands the company's portfolio of hardware and software solutions dedicated to control and visualization. As a supplier to European machine builders, Asem also opens up opportunities in the North American market. Asem's products offer customers a high level of configurability for their industrial IT needs, enabling them to accelerate time-to-market, reduce ownership costs, improve asset utilization, and better manage business risks.
Rockwell had announced its intention to acquire Asem in February 2020. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
