Beamex extends its successful range of PG pumps with the Beamex ePG: a revolutionary new electric pressure pump for industrial pressure calibration operations. With over 40 years' experience in providing pressure calibration solutions, the Beamex ePG is fully in line with the company's mission to provide ever more innovative calibration solutions for industry.
The Beamex ePG is a rugged, easy-to-transport, battery-operated pressure pump that enables quick and easy pressure generation from near-vacuum up to 20 bar (300 psi). With a long-life battery that can be easily replaced in the field, users can perform a large number of calibrations with just one battery charge.
The Beamex ePG can be used with any pressure calibrator or manometer, meaning that users don't need a new calibrator, but can simply replace their hand pump with the ePG. It has been designed to be user-friendly and ergonomic, with field-adapted adjustment knobs to easily generate the required pressure. The Beamex ePG can also be serviced by users to simplify maintenance.
When the Beamex ePG is used with a calibrator from the Beamex MC6 range, the MC6 calibrator automatically controls the ePG and regulates the pressure. The result is a fully automated pressure calibration system. This optional feature will be available in the near future with an update of the Beamex ePG firmware.
"Calibrations and checks in the process industry are often carried out in the field, and usually a hand pump is used to generate pressure. But a hand pump can be difficult to use, especially if you have several calibrations to do or need higher pressure, says Antti Mäkynen, Product Manager at Beamex. Based on our customers' requests for a better way to generate pressure, we developed a new technology that led to the creation of the Beamex ePG."
