Group AMS and Systeaspecializing in the design, manufacture and sale of physico-chemical analysis equipment, announce their merger and the forthcoming creation of AMS-Systea. This new entity will result from the strategic merger of their sales and R&D activities initiated in August 2011. The aim of both companies is to pool their know-how, expertise and resources within a common structure.
The new structure comprises 4 activities: the clinical division (automated clinical biochemistry instruments and reagents from the acquisition of Minias Globe Diagnostics in April 2011), the agrifoods division (molecular biology kits and analysis equipment), the environment division (continuous and sequential flow analyzers, on-line and in situ, from the Alliance Instruments, AMS and Systea) and finally the Nuclear Division (offering of the Ysebaert). The pooling of the 3 R&D centers ofAMS-Systea (in Italy at Rome and Anagni, and in France at Frépillon) will lead to the launch of new equipment in 2012.
AMS-Systeawhich employs 90 people, aims to maintain its pace of growth and development, and is planning further acquisitions in the coming months.
