The Isovolta group, one of Europe's major players in the composites industry, has sold its French subsidiary to ICM Industrie, based in Chassieu, near Lyon, which specializes in the machining of plastic and composite materials. The new entity, ICM Industrie Composite (€5.6m, 37 employees), formerly known as Isovolta France, will contribute its expertise in the transformation and assembly of laminated materials, for the production of complex products and supplies for the aeronautical, electromechanical, medical and automotive sectors.
In addition to this acquisition, a partnership has been signed with Austria's Isovolta AG to market its products in France. Frédéric Roux, President of ICM Industrie, is aiming for sales of €29 million. Recruitment of qualified staff and investment in state-of-the-art equipment are planned from 2020 onwards. This new acquisition confirms Frédéric Roux's commitment to growth. "Any opportunity that will enable us to consolidate our leadership and open up our expertise to new markets will be examined. This strategic external growth will boost our development and enrich our corporate culture by bringing our entities closer together. While the acquisition of Isovolta France marks a major expansion of our expertise, it also commits us to international deployment.
