Trend Networks, manufacturer of network and cabling test equipment, has announced the acquisition of U.S.-based Terahertz Technologies Inc. (TTI), which specializes in the manufacture of fiber optic and photonic test equipment.

"Companies installing fiber optic links can now rely on us, as our slogan 'Depend On Us' implies, to provide them with a more diverse range of fiber optic cabling test equipment, explains Paul Walsh, CEO of Trend Networks. The TTI team is fantastic and made up of extremely talented engineers! So we're very happy to be working with them to extend our low-cost, high-performance fiber testers, as well as to offer innovative new solutions."

Following the purchase, TTI will continue to design and manufacture products at its facility in Oriskany, New York, to ensure that the manufacturing of these products remains in the USA. "We look forward to this new chapter for TTI, and to our teams joining the Trend Networks family.says company founder Michael Mazzatti. By partnering with this reliable manufacturer, we know that our customers will benefit from high-end technical support, cloud-based solutions, and continued investment in new technologies. It's thanks to this sales and marketing revival, but also to the global distribution network, that we'll be supplying TTI testers to a wider audience internationally."

All current Trend Networks testers remain available. In the coming months, Trend Networks will be working on the development of new fiber optic devices, and TTI headquarters will become the research and development center in this field for Trend Networks.

Trend Networks aims to integrate this new range of testers into its Trend AnyWARE Cloud eco-system to provide reliable data at all times. This test report management system provides fast, efficient access to all necessary information across multiple devices, and enables the production of high-quality, professional documentation.

TTI will continue to provide its existing customers with all technical support, repair and calibration services. In future, Trend Networks will offer these services for the rebranded product range, providing customers with reliable support worldwide, including in local languages. This range of testers will also be available via Trend Networks' international network of distribution partners.

"Choosing fiber optic cabling is ideal and cost-effective when bandwidth demand is high, which is particularly the case in data centers," explains Paul Walsh. As data volumes increase, so does the demand for fiber. Consequently, this acquisition will enable us to expand our range of testers and ensure that, as a trusted brand, we can meet all business needs."

This is Trend Networks' first purchase since the company emancipated itself from its former owner two years earlier. The company, whose former name was Ideal Networks, has been called Trend Networks since the end of March 2021. This acquisition demonstrates the company's determination to expand its business in the USA and internationally, while developing its range of fiber optic testers and other products.
