At EMO 2021, Mahr presented its new cylindrical coordinate measuring machine. The Mar4D PLQ has been specially developed for the measurement of rotational symmetry parts in production. It integrates optical and tactile measurement sensors into a single measuring machine.
With up to four CNC axes, an optimal combination of optical and tactile sensors, as well as sophisticated monitoring systems, the Mar4D PLQ enables the acquisition of measured values in 3D reliably, quickly and accurately. The extreme flexibility combined with the ability to measure parts up to 200 mm in diameter, 1000 mm in length and 50 kg contributes to a significant increase in productivity in the production workshop.
A motorized counter-tip with automatic clamping force control ensures operator-free measurement, and the proven MarWin platform software offers an intuitive user interface. Designed to work in production environments, the Mar4D PLQ incorporates vibration isolation and real-time temperature compensation.
