The LNE has just obtained the extension of its Cofrac Calibration Accreditation No. 2-1446, relating to calibrations carried out on coordinate measuring machines, a first in France in this field of measurements. This new accreditation allows the LNE to calibrate reference parts, jigs or standards that will themselves serve as references later.
In order to ensure the traceability of their measurements to the International System of Units, or to meet the requirements of their quality system, manufacturers need to calibrate their specific standards or templates.
By obtaining this extension of accreditation, the LNE can carry out, under Cofrac accreditation, calibrations carried out on a coordinate measuring machine: measurements of diameters, distances, angles, etc.
The parts calibrated by the LNE can then be used as references for specific measuring benches, contact or non-contact coordinate measuring machines or specific measurement assemblies.
These calibrations are carried out on a Zeiss type Accura II coordinate measuring machine at LNE-Nîmes.
