Hottinger Brüel & Kjær announces the launch of the latest version of its Tescia software, which offers advanced features to help users become more efficient by optimizing their time.
The Tescia system offers a perfectly reliable means of collecting critical data, particularly for vibro-acoustic measurements and monitoring applications. Its unique features and user-experience-based workflow reduce test preparation time and protect the specimen, while improving data quality and validation of the results obtained. Automating continuous monitoring of ground disturbance vibrations - from rotating machinery and sensitive equipment - is now possible with Tescia, which now supports reference profiles. Users can define levels - from the simplest to the most complex - for each frequency, so that the system detects and triggers an alarm when thresholds are exceeded.
For long-term testing or for monitoring the condition of propulsion systems, for example, a metrics (indicators) recorder has been integrated, enabling users to record key parameters such as overall values, frequency bands, spectral and order values. This feature simplifies tedious post-analysis tasks and saves considerable time. Results can be imported directly into BK Connect post-processing and reporting software.
For multi-channel test campaigns, the volume of recorded data is sometimes considerable. A new feature enables data to be converted in real time and stored in the right place as the test progresses, avoiding time-consuming transfer or archiving tasks - after the test has been carried out.
Optional licenses allow additional monitoring stations and real-time data processing stations to be added, to increase analysis capabilities and the number of operators interacting during the test. In this way, several technical specialists are allowed to participate in test sessions, via several independent analysis stations, without interfering with the recording. The stations can operate in real time, totally autonomously, locally, connected to the acquisition system network, or remotely. Each license has the same analysis capabilities as the main acquisition system, and allows configurations to be saved locally for later reuse.
Flemming Schultz Larsen, Tescia Product Manager, explains: "I'm very proud of this new version of Tescia. The Tescia solution is more efficient than ever. It delivers the level of functionality and performance our users need, saving them considerable time and enabling them to make faster decisions."
