Krohne presents the ultra-compact Optibar PSM 1010 and Optibar PSM 2010 pressure switches/transmitters for the measurement of the absolute and relative pressure of gases and liquids.
Both devices are suitable for automation applications, such as measuring the hydrostatic level in open tanks, protecting pumps from running dry, or monitoring the pressure of compressors and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The flagship industries are food and beverage, water and wastewater, environment and OEM applications with limited installation space.
The new pressure switches feature a swivel display and adjustment module, a robust construction (IP67) and fully configurable communication outputs: IO-Link and PNP/NPN as standard I/O, and 4... 20 mA, 0... 10 V or NPN/PNP as a secondary output. Both devices offer excellent temperature stability thanks to advanced digital compensation.
The Optibar PSM 1010 is suitable for liquids and gases from 0.1 to 600 bar / 1.5 to 8700 psi with process temperatures up to +125°C / +257°F and excellent overpressure resistance.
The Optibar PSM 2010 targets hygienic applications in the agro-food industry of 0.1... 40 bar / 4... 580 psi and max. +150°C / +302°F. Its sanitary construction includes a fully welded front membrane to meet the most stringent industrial requirements in terms of crack-free installation with several 3A approved process fittings.
IO-Link is a registered trademark of Profibus & Profinet International. 3A is a registered trademark of 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc.
