Krohne introduces the ultra-compact pressure switch/transmitter Optibar PSM 1010 and Optibar PSM 2010 for absolute and relative pressure measurement of gases and liquids.
Both devices are suitable for automation applications, such as hydrostatic level measurement in open tanks, dry-running protection of pumps or pressure monitoring of compressors and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Key industries include food and beverage, water and wastewater, environmental and OEM applications with limited installation space.
The new pressure switches feature a swiveling display and adjustment module, robust construction (IP67) and fully configurable communication outputs: IO-Link and PNP/NPN as standard I/O, and 4...20 mA, 0...10 V or NPN/PNP as secondary output. Both devices offer excellent temperature stability through advanced digital compensation.
The Optibar PSM 1010 is suitable for liquids and gases from 0.1 to 600 bar / 1.5 to 8700 psi with process temperatures up to +125°C / +257°F and excellent overpressure resistance.
The Optibar PSM 2010 is targeted at hygienic applications in the food industry from 0.1...40 bar / 4...580 psi and max. +150°C / +302°F. Its sanitary construction includes a fully welded front diaphragm to meet the most stringent industrial requirements for crack-free installation with multiple 3A approved process connections.
