From March 7 to 10, 2023, Global Industrie, France's largest showcase for industrial innovation, will once again bring together all sectors of industry at Eurexppo Lyon. Directly impacted by the current international economic climate, French companies and production lines will find solutions and know-how that will help them meet the challenges of the multiple transitions underway, whether ecological, energy-related, societal, linked to professions or relocation.
Transition solutions
Global Industrie 2023 will be a major meeting place for concrete solutions to the current challenges facing manufacturers. The 2,500 exhibitors (solution providers, service providers, subcontractors, manufacturers and distributors...), divided into 15 universes (see box), and the innovations rewarded by the GI Awards, will all be technical levers enabling them to improve their productivity and respond to their energy and environmental issues.
" Global Industrie aims to enable manufacturers to take advantage of the major challenges of the moment, by providing them with technological leads and food for thought, so that French industry emerges stronger from them. " Sébastien Gillet, Director, Global Industrie
Promoting industrial know-how and trades
French industry is a breeding ground for jobs, many of which remain unfilled. Since its creation, Global Industrie has been supporting companies in their search for new talent with a number of complementary tools.
Dedicated to training, jobs and professions, the GI Avenir area is a must at Global Industrie. Schoolchildren, jobseekers and people undergoing professional retraining will be able to find out more about the different professions in industry, the sectors that are recruiting and the professions of the future.
To present their job offers, HR departments will have access to an online recruitment platform, job-dating sessions...
Golden Tech, 2e industrial excellence competition
The promotion of trades will also be at the heart of the Golden Tech industrial competition. For 4 days, this non-stop show celebrates the men and women who embody today's industry in various professions (see box). It's an opportunity for them to demonstrate their know-how, challenge themselves and fly the flag for their company.
All professionals can register online and take part in the selection process. The partners will draw on the knowledge and motivations of each candidate, in order to bring together a maximum of 11 candidates per profession.
For 2023, Golden Tech has chosen the theme of "the hydrogen car". The topics, developed in collaboration with business partners and unveiled 1 hour before the event, will cover the design, storage or distribution of these vehicles. Candidates will then have 2 hours to respond as best they can, before being assessed by a panel of experts. The results (gold, silver and bronze medals) will be announced on Friday, March 10, 2023. The winner in each category will receive a cheque for 1,000 euros.
In keeping with the automotive theme of competition, the Golden Tech area will feature a number of exceptional concept cars, including the H2 prototype from the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Monitoring and forecasting
Global Industrie is also the place where new ideas and perspectives converge, with the aim of responding to the various challenges facing industry. In 2023, conferences will focus on issues related to transitions, in the form of insights into existing solutions and experience feedback.
In addition, Global Industrie will be conducting numerous interviews on the show's TV platform, which will be broadcast on GI Channel's digital channels.
At the stands staffed by economic and institutional representatives, companies will be able to find out about the financing and assistance schemes set up by the French government and local authorities to support relocation, job creation, environmental transition, etc.
