The story begins in 1948, when Mr. John FLUKE founded the company in Springdale, Connecticut, United States. The small business starts by selling Energy Meters and then other test and measurement devices. Its activity has grown over the years thanks in part to John Fluke's policy of promoting innovation.
This is how Fluke develops its digital multimeter, an instrument that quickly became indispensable to every technician's daily life. In 1991, fluke developed the ScopeMeter in 1991, with a digital multimeter.
Building on its development and technological advantage, the Company took over the "Test and Measurement" business of Philips Electronics in the Netherlands in 1993.
Today, Fluke's innovations continue to expand the capabilities of essential tools. For example, in 2009, the Fluke 233 was the first digital multimeter to have a removable screen to perform safer and remote measurements. In 2012, Fluke introduced the CNX 3000 series wireless system, which allows simultaneous and remote playback of 10 modules at a time.
Over the past 65 years, Fluke has continued to establish its position as a world leader in portable electronic testing and measurement technologies and to maintain a policy of continuous innovation.
Today, Fluke Corporation is headquartered in Everett, Washington, United States. The company employs more than 2,500 people worldwide and distributes its products in more than 100 countries. In Europe, Fluke operates in 13 countries and has a manufacturing facility in Norwich, Norfolk, UK. The company's European revenues contribute approximately 40% of global sales.
