After 9 years at the head of the Metrology Division, Philippe Postec is handing over to Cyril Aujard, 32, his deputy for the past 3 years.
The transition will take effect tomorrow, in line with the continuity of management and proximity established by Philippe Postec.
A quick look back
Cyril Aujard joined Zeiss as an application technician in 2002, and quickly progressed to the position of Services Sales Manager. This position, tailor-made by Philippe Postec, enabled him to propose and defend a vision of Zeiss service, drawing on his charisma and professionalism. His commitment, determination to surpass himself and desire for excellence were recognized in 2007, when he was appointed head of services for the Zeiss Metrology division (90 % of the workforce and no less than 50 % of sales). Before becoming deputy to the director in 2010, Cyril Aujard was heavily involved in creating new profit centers and developing regional Zeiss service companies, thus enhancing customer proximity.
He will pursue the actions initiated under Philippe Postec's leadership over the coming years, while developing new markets and customer proximity. It will also be an opportunity to launch new strategic sales initiatives. Market developments and the expectations of Zeiss France customers (who are increasingly mobile), have led to the decision to promote the expansion and physical installation of Zeiss in the Maghreb.
Last but not least, the company will now differentiate itself from its competitors (who focus on 3D laboratory machines). The emphasis will be on productivity and efficiency, with new-generation machines such as the VoluMax (X-ray) and SurfMax (optical), which will complement the Zeiss MaxLine range of production machines.
