After 9 years at the head of the Metrology Division, Philippe Postec gives way to Cyril Aujard, 32, his deputy for 3 years.
The transition will be effective tomorrow, and is part of a logic of continuity of management and proximity established by Philippe Postec.
A look back at a fast course
Cyril Aujard joined Zeiss as an application technician in 2002, then quickly moved to a sales position Services. This position, created to measure by Philippe Postec, will allow him to propose and defend a vision of the Zeiss service, based on his charisma and professionalism. His commitment, his desire to surpass himself and his desire for excellence will be recognized in 2007, when he is entrusted with the position of head of services of the Zeiss Metrology division (90% of the workforce and no less than 50% of turnover). Before becoming deputy director in 2010, Cyril Aujard was heavily involved in the creation of new profit centers and the development of regional Zeiss service delivery companies, thus enhancing proximity to the customer.
He will continue the actions initiated under the leadership of Philippe Postec in the years to come, while developing new markets and customer proximity. This will be an opportunity to launch new trade strategic axes. Changes in the market and the expectations of Zeiss France customers (increasingly mobile) lead to the decision to promote the expansion and physical installation of Zeiss in the Maghreb.
Finally, the company will now play the differentiation card vis-à-vis competitors (focused on 3D laboratory machines). The focus will be on productivity and efficiency, with next-generation machines such as the VoluMax (X-rays) or SurfMax (optics), which will complement the Zeiss MaxLine production range.
