Endress - Hauser has just bought Kaiser Optical Systems and Analytik Jena, strengthening its offering in the instrumentation of measuring physical parameters, especially for process applications.
Kaiser Optical Systems was a subsidiary of Rockwell Collinssince 2000. Cete American company specializes in Raman spectroscopy as well as in holographic networks and filters (whose applications are very extensive, going as far as astronomy, through telecoms and aeronautics.
Analytik Jenais a German company specializing in conventional chemical analyzers as well as instruments for biotechnology and molecular diagnostic applications. It includes atomic abosorption spectrometers, UV/visible spectrometers, basic analysis instruments, carbon content, water, mercury, etc. Its offer also includes equipment for life sciences.
In addition, Endress-Hauser has just agreed to invest $40 million in its Greenwood industrial site in the United States and has just increased the area of its Suzhou site in China by 3,600 m2 (to 18,000 m2).
Founded in 1953, Endress-Hauser is a Swiss company that today employs more than 10,000 people and has a turnover of 1.7 billion euros in 2012.
