To strengthen the development of its metrological business, Endress-Hauser invests in legal metrology. With the acquisition of SGM, Endress-Hauser is expanding its portfolio of oil and gas services.
SGM, based in Vitrolles, is one of the leading French suppliers approved for regulatory controls relating to periodic and primitive verifications of liquefied petroleum gas, alcohol and special industrial liquids.
The jurisdiction includes:
- on-site checks with mobile standard tube and standard gauges,
- laboratory use of fixed calibration stations,
- designing and carrying out sampling systems for oil, oil, LPG and various chemicals.
SGM employs 9 people and has a turnover of 1.1 million euros in France and Africa.
With this acquisition, Endress-Hauser further expands its service portfolio for the oil and gas sector. Already strongly present thanks to its service delivery business such as maintenance and calibration activities accredited Cofrac of measuring instruments of:
- Temperature
- pressure
- Flow
- Humidity
- Time and Frequency
- physico-chemical analysis
- balance
- electric sizes
Endress-Hauser wants to meet the specific needs of oil customers by adding sharp skills in the field of legal metrology.
