With the FT 25-RLA, Sensopart presents the first analog laser distance sensor in its tried-and-tested, easy-to-install F 25 housing. With its small but precise light spot, high repeatability and reduced reaction time, the sensor is ideal for precise measurement tasks such as small part measurement, positioning or robot-mounted measurement operations.
The FT 25-RLA reliably and precisely defines the distance between objects, regardless of their color or surface characteristics. Even shiny surfaces or surfaces with irregular contrasts (e.g. multicolored packaging or barcodes) have virtually no influence on the sensor's extremely high repeatability (< 0.25 mm). With its small spot size (1.2 ...2 mm, depending on distance), the sensor reliably measures movements parallel or perpendicular to the housing on small objects.
The distance sensor with red light laser (Class 1) offers a measurement range from 20 to 100 mm. The defined analysis value is output as a linear voltage value (1...10 V) via an integrated analog output. The FT 25-RLA also features a digital switching output, enabling independent adjustment of the measurement ranges on both outputs. The analog measurement output can also be inverted.
Thanks to its high repeatability and measurement versatility, the FT 25-RLA is ideal for a wide range of industrial applications, such as joint thickness measurement, double-layer inspection of incoming components, cavity measurement or shelf height control for packaging. Its compact dimensions (34 x 20 x 12 mm), low weight (10 g) and fast response time make it ideal for use in robotic applications.
Like all the sensors in the F 25 mini range, the FT 25-RLA features a robust, waterproof plastic housing (IP 69K and IP 67) and a host of features to simplify operation. These include flexible mounting with dovetail clamp, teach-in via a single button or external control, and automatic NPN-PNP changeover (Auto-Detect). In addition to the FT 25-RLA laser versions, Sensopart offers two LED versions of the distance sensor (FT 25-RA), enabling a wide variety of measurement applications to be covered by the same functional and operating concept.
