Memosens Conductive Conductive Sensor for Hygienic Applications in Life Sciences, Agri-Food and Drinking Water

The CLS82D sensor with Memosens technology has been designed to measure conductivity in many applications, in the life sciences and agri-food industries, such as:

  • Managing product separation during In Place Cleanings
  • Chromatography
  • Fermentation

The strengths of the CLS82D

  • A small sensor size to measure in small diameter pipes
  • A very wide range of measurements from 1 S/cm to 500 mS/cm with good accuracy and reproducibility even in low values to cover all applications
  • A hygienic design to meet health constraints
    (EHEDG, 3-A and FDA Materials)
  • Memosens technology scans the sensor's analog signal and continuously monitors the full loop for safer and more reliable measurement

Why four electrodes?

In applications requiring a wide range of measurements, it is often difficult to measure conductivity accurately. Thanks to its four electrodes, the Memosens CLS82D sensor achieves maximum accuracy even in these applications.
To determine the electrical conductivity of liquids, a principle of conductive measurement of 2 or 4 electrodes is used or an inductive measurement principle. The conductive principle of 2 electrodes has a high measurement sensitivity and is particularly suitable for environments with low conductivity such as ultrapure water or drinking water. The inductive conductivity measurement is adapted to environments with high conductivity such as brine, acids and bases.
For applications that require a wide range of measurements, such as phase separation, fermentation or chromatography, conductivity measurement with 4 electrodes is the most appropriate.
