Scaime announces the evolution of its eNod4 range of weighing controllers with the possibility of communication using Bluetooth technology. This new wireless connectivity extends eNod4's field of application, enabling remote control of a weighing system installed in a difficult-to-access environment.
Designed for automated process weighing, eNod4 controllers offer Modbus-RTU, Modbus-TCP, CANopen, Profibus-DP, Profinet, EtherNet/IP or EtherCAT connectivity for communication with the market's leading PLCs. They also offer application software to support applications such as level monitoring, checkweighing, filling, conveyor belt weighing or continuous loss-in-weight batching, covering the full range of weighing needs in the supply chain.
All controllers in the eNod4 range can now benefit from a Bluetooth communication option comprising an electronic board integrated into eNod4 and an Android application available free of charge on Google Play.
Using an Android smartphone or tablet, the eNodApp application lets you take control of the weighing system, without physically accessing eNod4 or interrupting PLC communication. The app provides a secure interface for configuring the system, running weighing functions, or performing maintenance operations such as calibration.
This diagnostic and configuration tool enables remote monitoring of weighing system operation, minimizing downtime and facilitating commissioning and maintenance operations. By making it possible to control eNod4 without connecting additional components, eNodApp reduces the risks associated with maintenance work, particularly when carried out by third parties.
The eNodApp application meets the needs of integrators, maintenance operators and users of eNod4 weighing systems. It complements the range of tools already available for implementing and operating eNod4: eNodView PC software, eNodTouch touch HMI, or the Web server integrated into EtherNet versions.
With this new wireless connectivity, eNod4 offers a comprehensive range of weighing technology for packaging machine manufacturers and engineering firms to control their automated manufacturing processes.
