Thanks to its two integrated probes (redundant and diverse), which continuously monitor themselves over the entire temperature range from -25 to 160°C, ifm electronic's TCC sensor helps to improve the process and thus increase the level of food safety. It provides continuous information on the actual state of the sensor (precise measurement, drift or malfunction) with an accuracy of 0.2°C.
If the sensor deviates from the defined tolerance values, or in the event of a malfunction, it provides a clearly visible light signal (green: ok, blue: temperature deviation outside the range, red: serious malfunction) and sends a message to the PLC via IO-Link (Analog and switching output possible).
Thanks to its new design (fully welded and sealed housing, new measurement probe design), the TCC is permanently resistant to the constraints of the food industry (thermal shocks, vibrations, cleaning) or water treatment for depollution and filtration skids.
