Cognex Corporation has delivered its millionth vision system. This system, an In-Sight player, was acquired by Medtronic, the world's largest medical technology company.
The In-Sight system was delivered to the Medtronic plant in Tempe, Arizona, USA by Cognex CEO Robert Willett. On this occasion, Mr. Willett also presented a cheque for $10,000 to the Foundation for Blind Children, a local charity supported by Medtronic that helps people who are blind or with reduced vision to live more independently.
"We are delighted to mark this millionth delivery with this donation to the Foundation," said Mr. Atett. By sharing our success, we honor all those who have contributed to it: our customers, whose trust and support have helped Cognex reach this important milestone; the Cognoids who invent, produce, sell and support our technology; and our distribution partners and suppliers around the world who ensure that our products reach the companies that need it. »
