The German company LMI Technologies (represented in France by Stemmer Imagin g), specialized in opto sensors for industrial 2D and 3D measurements, has just taken control of the Canadian company 3D3 Solutions , which supplies 3D scanning hardware and software.
In addition to expanding its technical skills, the acquisition of 3D3 Solutions allows LMI to extend its geographic coverage and access new markets, such as medical (scanners for teeth, ears, feet, and more generally the human body), entertainment, (games, animations), manufacturing (reverse engineering, fast 3D protypage) and the arts (reproduction, archiving), etc.
LMI Technologies is part of the Augusta Technologie AG group , which includes Allied Vision Technologies (vision) and Dewetron (data acquisition).
