Visiativ today announced the acquisition of German company MB CAD GmbH, a long-standing independent distributor and integrator of Solidworks and 3DExperience software, based in southern Germany, in Bavaria. This acquisition, which consolidates Visiativ's international development (27 % of business outside France in 2021) already present in Germany through its consulting activity, gives the group a first position across the Rhine for its software activities to conquer the German industrial SME and ETI market.
Founded in 1992 by Monika and Peter Blumenstock, MB CAD is a value-added reseller (VAR) of Solidworks software and the 3DExperience platform, and the only independent player in German-speaking countries.
MB CAD employs around 30 people at two sites in southern Germany: Bruckmühl, the company's headquarters south of Munich, and Schwaig bei Nümberg.
In addition to its comprehensive consulting services and first-rate training offerings, MB CAD has built its solid reputation on the German market through its excellence in customer satisfaction. MB CAD has received numerous awards from Solidworks, including the "Highest Customer Satisfaction Europe" award, as well as the "Elite Club 190" award for the highest rates of maintenance renewals.
Since 1992, MD CAD has supported more than 2,000 companies, including both major accounts and numerous German SMEs and ETIs in all types of industry (automotive, robotics, industrial equipment, electronics, etc.).
MB CAD has forecast sales of around €8 million for 2021, with profitability in line with industry standards.
The acquisition of 100% from MB CAD, which will be consolidated from June 1, 2022, is financed entirely in cash.
