On Thursday 15 September, the SKF Group announced the appointment of Vincent Mégret, 60, as President of SKF France. He succeeds Philippe Peroz. SKF is the world's leading supplier of products and solutions in the fields of bearings, sealing solutions, mechatronics, lubrication systems and services, covering all industrial sectors. Since 1908, the group has been established in France and today has 8 sites and over 3000 employees.

35 ans d’engagement pour le Groupe SKF

A graduate of the École Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales d'Angers (Essca), Vincent Mégret joined the SKF Group in 1987 as Head of Central Planning for SKF plants in France. Two years later, he became responsible for sales forecasts, workload plans and production programs for SKF's French and Italian plants.

In 1991, Vincent Mégret joined the Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire site and became Supply Chain Manager for the rigid ball bearing plant. In 1996, he moved to South Carolina and was appointed Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager for a new SKF plant dedicated to the production of car and truck wheel bearings for car manufacturers.

In 1999, he became Director of SKF Autoparts, the development, manufacturing and sales unit for automotive aftermarket kits. He was then appointed Director of SKF Vehicle Parts Operation, which includes the French, Swedish and Italian aftermarket units.

From 2009 to 2019, Vincent Mégret was General Manager of SKF S2M in Saint Marcel and Director of SKF Magnetic Systems Unit, a business unit that includes S2M and subsidiaries in Canada, Russia and Dubai.

Until this new appointment and since 2019, Vincent Mégret was Director of the SKF Maintenance, Power Transmission & Tools Business Unit. His objective was to develop a new Business Unit, grouping together maintenance products, the industrial transmission range and lubrication tools, for the industrial aftermarket.

A key appointment to support the Group's ambitions

SKF in France relies on its 8 production units to develop solutions from its 5 areas of expertise: bearings and bearing units, sealing solutions, mechatronics, lubrication systems and services. Several of its plants are also Centers of Excellence for the Group worldwide.

In France, SKF focuses on the business segments of its customers, both manufacturers and users, and offers customized, high value-added products, services and solutions that also serve the global market.

Un objectif : accompagner les industriels dans l’amélioration de leurs performances, la réduction de leur consommation énergétique et l’optimisation de leur coût total de possession.

In June 2020, the SKF Group announced that it would achieve carbon neutrality in all its production, research and warehouse facilities by 2030.

"says Vincent Mégret, President of SKF France
