Cetiat designs a measuring device for nuclear medicine

Machine - Manufacturing

Cetiat is breaking new ground in the field of liquid flowmetry, with the design of a world-unique device for measuring the activity of radiopharmaceutical drugs, with the aim of reducing the risks of over- and under-dosing for patient safety.

Cetiat's liquid microflowmetry laboratory - a pioneer in Europe - enables the characterization of medical devices with the aim of reducing the risk of over- and under-dosing, for example for diabetics, premature babies or painkillers.

In this context, from 2012 to 2015, Cetiat, as part of a consortium of European laboratories, took part in the "Metrology for Drug Delivery" research project, funded by the European Commission and aimed at improving the traceability of medical infusion devices. Building on this research, the technical center is working on the design of a measuring device for use in nuclear medicine for examinations requiring the use of radioactive products.
