The M23 multi-variable vortex insertion flowmeter developed by VORTEK measures mass flow compensated by temperature or pressure for saturated steam, or temperature and pressure for superheated steam or gas. It features three measuring elements: a vortex sensor, an RTD temperature sensor and a pressure sensor. Based on the frequency-based measurement principle, it offers high accuracy with a range of up to 100:1.
Easy to install and commission, it is insert-mounted for all pipes from DN50 to DN1000. It features a robust 316L stainless steel design with no moving parts and no contact with the fluid. Its electronics can be either integral or remote-mounted.
With a range of 4-20mA analog, pulse totalizer and alarm outputs, as well as HART and modbus communication protocols, it is ideal for specific applications.
Whereas other flowmeters using the same measurement principle require the purchase of a pressure sensor and a temperature probe to obtain a multi-variable measurement, the M23 already incorporates them, thus saving on purchase and installation costs.
Its ATEX approval means it can be installed in hazardous environments, either as a complete unit or as a remote unit.
