Ametek Test & Instruments introduces two Chatillon machines to its range of materials testing machines: the CS225 and CS1100. Both single-column machines are equipped with the latest linear guide technology, preloaded ball screws and advanced software solutions, ensuring the highest level of precision in force and displacement measurement.
The major advantage of this innovation lies in the touch interface, designed specifically for use in production environments by users of all levels. The CS225 is a 1000 N machine. It features a large 180 mm deep work area. The CS1100 is a 5000 N machine. It features a large workspace with a depth of 150 mm. Both machines are available with a wide range of clamps, platens and other accessories for added flexibility. Both models are very easy to use, thanks to their touch-screen interface and intuitive menus for performing tensile tests, compression tests, bending tests or advanced multi-stage tests to ISO or ASTM standards.
The CS series features an industrial-grade 8.9″ touchscreen (IP65) that has been designed for continuous operation in a production environment. The screen is protected against dust and can withstand splashes and splashes. The tablet is not only robust but above all easy to use, making it an ideal interface for users whatever their skill level. A few taps on the screen is all it takes to set up a test, select tests and generate reports. The CS Series is particularly suited to industrial applications, including plastics, packaging, medical devices, automotive, electronics, textiles, rubber and pharmaceuticals. Both machines are ideal for manufacturing controls and routine testing in quality assurance.
Reports and exports can be made to both .PDF and .CSV files. Data can be easily stored in internal memory or on an external disk or computer network, guaranteeing results and traceability.CS units have two levels of user access: supervisor and operator. Both levels can be password-protected. The supervisor level allows full access to the system, while the operator level allows only specific tests or test functions defined by the supervisor. To enhance ease of use, specific tests can be defined as favorites. They are then displayed on the start-up screen.
