The Auvergne region's industrial efficiency cluster will bring together organizations working in the field of metrology, i.e. data analysis in support of productivity and sustainable development. The aim of the cluster is to develop new computer models and tools to bring rationality to decisions often based on experience and usage.
One goal: innovation
The labeling of these clusters follows the call for projects launched last May by the Auvergne Region, the French government and Europe for the creation of new Auvergne clusters of excellence. Of the 7 applicants, only 3 were selected on the basis of a decisive criterion: their capacity for innovation. The choice of these 3 clusters is also in line with the smart specialization strategy requested of regions by the European Union as part of the next programming of European funds for 2014-2020.
Industrial efficiency cluster
Business sector: industrial metrology (data analysis for productivity and sustainable development)
Chairman: Laurent LAPORTE - IP Leanware
Member companies :
IP Leanware
Phi Meca
Delta Mu
Research and teaching :
Pasacal Institute
Ifma
Isima
Work areas
The three founding companies specialize in the field of industrial efficiency: optimizing industrial processes through computer calculation, data modeling, simulation/prediction and statistics. The aim of the cluster is to give rationality to decisions often based on the experience and practices of industrial production companies, design offices, test laboratories and analysis laboratories. The aim of the cluster is twofold:
1/ collaborate with laboratories to develop new models
2/ to raise the profile of these techniques among companies that are still not sufficiently open to them, by organizing a club of "Effectively Efficient Companies".
3 projects identified :
Management of metrologically controlled processes,
Dynamic measurement monitoring,
Efficient Design (statistical tolerancing)
