Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence launches Global Advantage HTA (High Throughput and Accuracy), an enhanced metrology solution for the aerospace industry.
Rising demand for the production of high-performance aero-engines has led to the development of the new Global Advantage HTA measurement solution for compressor blades. The technology-driven, high-precision measurement system is specifically designed to deliver a significant improvement in measurement throughput, while providing more detailed data for aerodynamic geometry analysis.
The Global Advantage HTA platform is based on Hexagon's advanced HP-O Multi optical scanning probe technology, which enables very fast, non-contact measurement of aircraft engine blades and compressor vanes on the shop floor. Using frequency-modulated laser interferometry technology, the Global Advantage HTA enables fast, non-contact scanning in the micron range to check blade characteristics such as aerodynamic profile, platform, root, head, etc. Polished blade surfaces are easy to measure, even without the secondary coating and cleaning required for many non-contact technologies. Thanks to Hexagon's BladeSmart control software, the Global Advantage HTA solution includes a catalog of runtime commands including geometric methods for airfoil, platform and blade root, enabling users to create and manipulate measurement programs more quickly.
