Creaform, a business unit of Ametek, Inc. and an international leader in portable 3D measurement solutions and engineering services, today announced the inauguration of a new 660-square-meter repair center near its offices in Fontaine, France (Grenoble region). This commitment translates into increased support and autonomy for the Creaform community in the EMEA region: the company can now produce reliable results locally, including calibration and acceptance testing, and carry out repairs for all Creaform products and systems.
With this major investment, the company aims to reduce delays attributable to the repair process, especially when shipping goods overseas. Partners and end-users in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa) will now be able to take advantage of a local service point, reducing the occasional shipment of their products to Creaform's head office in Lévis, Quebec, Canada. This proximity will result in optimized management costs and excellent control of the returns process. The center will also make it possible to receive, manage and repair systems from India, instead of receiving them in Canada, as is the case today.
Having obtained Iso9001 (July 2022) and Iso 17025 (December 2022) certifications, this new center enables calibration and acceptance testing to be carried out locally, for all Creaform quality control systems and products. From now on, all repairs will receive the same level of service as that offered by Creaform's head office. The Iso 9001 standard deals with the integration of a quality management system into a given organization. Iso 17025 covers an organization's ability to produce reliable calibration and testing results.
