Creaform, a leader in 3D optical measurement technologies and 3D engineering services, today announced its fiscal 2010 results. The company had its best year since its inception, with annual sales of 27 , $ 3M, which represents a growth of 25% over 2009. In addition, sales of $ 9.6 million in the fourth quarter set the company a new record and represent an increase of 49 % compared to Q4 2009.
In addition, technology sales are up 35%: Handyscan 3D scanners experienced sustained growth, while HandyPROBE sales jumped 179%, an increase which is partly explained by the addition of two new sensor models to the range and by the addition of around twenty new distributors on an international scale.
“ Creaform can boast of presenting excellent 12-month results in 2010, which is all the more impressive given that Creaform had a good 2009 despite the difficult economic climate. Obviously, the record sales of our new 3D scanner on MetraSCAN optical CMM have greatly contributed to the achievement of such results ”declared Mr. Martin Lamontagne, CEO of Creaform.
Creaform made investments of around $ 4 million in 2010, notably the acquisition of two companies (In Speck and Genicad). By investing in this way, Creaform has acquired high caliber expertise and know-how, and expects to achieve an excellent return on investment in 2011.
During the year, Creaform consolidated its international presence by opening a subsidiary in Germany and an office in India. In addition, the company was able to increase its market share in 3D engineering services and was named “Company of the Year 2010” by the Association québécoise de l'Aérospatiale.
