AMS Group and Systea, specialized in the design, manufacture and sale of physical and chemical analysis devices, announce their merger and the upcoming creation of AMS-Systea. This new entity will result from the strategic merger of their business and research and development activities initiated in August 2011. The aim of the two companies is to pool their know-how, expertise and resources within a common structure.
The new structure comprises 4 activities: the clinical cluster (automated clinical and reactive biochemistry instruments resulting from the acquisition of Minias Globe Diagnostics in April 2011), the agri-food division (molecular biology kits and analytical devices), the environment (continuous and sequential flow analyzers, online and in situ, Alliance Instrumentsbrands , AMS and Systea)and finally the nuclear pole (the brand offer). The pooling ofAMS-Systea's three research and development centres (in Italy in Rome and Anagni, and in France in Frépillon) will lead to the introduction of new equipment on the market in 2012.
AMS-Systea, which employs 90 people, wants to maintain its growth and development, and expects future acquisitions in the coming months.
