"This transaction would involve the construction, sale, installation and after-sales service of truck scales. If this transaction were to materialize, each company would also continue to develop and commercialize its own weighing sensor technologies. The two companies have entered into exclusive negotiations around this project.
"METTLER TOLEDO, a global leader in weighing, analysis and service solutions for laboratories, industry and commerce, has a role to play in the French truck bridge market and wants to refocus on its technologies in the form of Products, Solutions and Associated Services, in line with its other industrial activities.
"Fabrice Dejoux, President of Mettler-Toledo SAS, is pleased with the proposed sale of ARPEGE MASTER-K, a French manufacturer of industrial weighing solutions, and would include this acquisition project in the strategy of strengthening its offer, in synergy with the launch of new indicators.
"Frédéric Fossi, President of ARPEGE MASTER-K, welcomes this project which would enable his group to assert its position as a market leader in truck scales in France.
"The two Presidents are convinced that this project will be welcomed by the various actors because of its coherence and welcome an industrial project that values each other and brings development. Both branches also recall that in accordance with the current legal provisions this project is currently submitted for information and advice to the representative bodies of staff in both companies. »
