It is dangerous to open electrical cabinets to perform thermal and visual inspections of live components, as this exposes the operator to the danger of an electrical arc. It is now possible to improve safety by interposing a FLIR IR window between this equipment and the operator, to better protect it and render any opening unnecessary.
