CARL Software, publisher of maintenance management software (CMMS) and asset management software (EAM), presents a preview of its future CARL Source 4 software, even more powerful and accessible.
CARL Source 4 CMMS: a brand new CARL Source!
More than just a new version, CARL Source 4 is a new product, a major evolution on the previous generation. Visually, the application has been completely redesigned. CARL Source 4 features a completely new user interface and design, incorporating the latest web technologies. Feedback from thousands of users has been taken into account, since the release of the first version in 2008, to deliver an even more intuitive and user-friendly application.
Beyond design and ergonomics, CARL Source 4 brings hundreds of improvements: customizable graphical indicators on the home page, an even more complete and intuitive equipment tree, mass data updates, integration of an exclusive memo function...
More specifically, CARL Source 4 integrates numerous business enhancements: extended asset and surface area management integrating new concepts specific to asset management, claims management and fuel consumption import for the Transport version, new after-sales-oriented functionalities...
Enhanced performance
CARL Source 4 offers two exclusive new features:
- Reports from regulatory bodies: CARL Source 4 is now able to import reports from major regulatory bodies. These reports are downloaded directly from the organizations' platforms and automatically integrated into CARL Source. Based on the reports, CARL Source triggers the maintenance actions required to remove any reservations raised during the inspection. The traceability and follow-up of equipment or building reservations are thus guaranteed, secure and optimized.
- Google Maps and integrated Autocad drawings: in the same window as the equipment tree, CARL Source directly displays your Autocad drawings in dwg format (machine parts lists, floor plans, etc.). Drawings are not just displayed, but interact with CARL Source: simply click on part of a drawing to launch maintenance actions directly on the equipment in question (create a maintenance request, a maintenance report, etc.). In the same way, CARL Source 4 integrates all external applications capable of managing plans via a web service: internal or external Geographic Information Systems (GIS) (e.g. Google Maps...), or other plan management tools.
