CARL Software, publisher of maintenance management (CMMS) and Asset Management (EAM) software, presents a preview of its future CARL Source 4 software, which is even more powerful and accessible.

CMMS CARL Source 4: a brand new CARL Source!

More than a new version, CARL Source 4 is a new product, a major evolution compared to the previous generation. Visually, the application has been completely redesigned. CARL Source 4 is a brand new user interface, a brand new design, integrating the latest web technologies. The feedback from thousands of users has been taken into account since the release of the first version in 2008 in order to offer an application that is even more intuitive and easy to access.

Beyond design and ergonomics, CARL Source 4 brings hundreds of improvements: customizable graphic indicators on the home page, even more complete and intuitive equipment tree structure, bulk data update, integration of an exclusive memo function ...

More specifically, CARL Source 4 incorporates many business improvements: extended management of goods and areas incorporating new concepts specific to asset management, claims management and fuel consumption import for the Transport version, new after-sales service oriented functionalities, etc.

Improved performance

CARL Source 4 offers two exclusive new products:

  • Reports from control bodies: CARL Source 4 is now able to import reports from the main regulatory control bodies. These reports are downloaded directly from the organizations' platforms and are automatically integrated into CARL Source. Based on the reports, CARL Source initiates the maintenance actions required to lift the reservations made during the inspection. The traceability and monitoring of reserves on equipment or buildings are thus guaranteed, secure and optimized.
  • Google Maps and integrated Autocad plans: In the same window as the equipment tree, CARL Source directly displays your Autocad plans in dwg format (machine nomenclatures, plan of premises, etc.). The plans are not just displayed but interact with CARL Source: by simply clicking on part of a plan, maintenance actions are launched directly on the pointed equipment (creation of an intervention request, an account intervention report…). CARL Source 4 integrates in the same way all the external applications capable of managing maps via a web service: Internal or external Geographic Information System (GIS) (eg: Google Maps, etc.), or other map management tools .
