On the occasion of the 3Dexperience World 2024 event, Cadence Design Systems and Dassault Systèmes announced the extension of their strategic partnership.
The artificial intelligence-driven Cadence OrCAD X and Allegro X solutions will be integrated into Dassault Systèmes' 3Dexperience Works portfolio.
Aimed at 3Dexperience Solidworks users, this cloud-based integration offers a complete solution that can cut product design times by a factor of five. The fields of printed circuit boards, 3D mechanical design and simulation can all benefit.
Electrical and mechanical engineers can now collaborate in unprecedented ways to accelerate the end-to-end mechatronic systems development process, and optimize the performance, reliability, manufacturability, supply resilience, compliance and cost of their designs.
"A company developing electromechanical products today needs a synergistic solution to avoid lengthening its time-to-market, says Kimball Cluff, executive vice-president of software sales at GoEngineer, a leading provider of electrical and mechanical design and analysis solutions from Dassault Systèmes and Cadence. This new cloud-based solution from Cadence and Dassault Systèmes provides electrical and mechanical design teams with a proven, easy-to-deploy collaborative solution that stands out for the quality of its user experience."
"All industrial sectors are currently facing an explosion in product complexity due to new requirements imposed by electrification, artificial intelligence and machine learning, safety, connectivity and sustainability, adds Tom Beckley, Senior Vice President at Cadence. Cadence is the leading developer of advanced IC packaging and AI-assisted PCB design tools. Thanks to Dassault Systèmes' 3Dexperience platform, customers can now design their products using a powerful solution that facilitates collaboration between PCB design and 3D mechanical design."
"The experience economy, where the value of a product comes from its use, is today driving exponential demand for evolving, connected electromechanical products. Companies are moving towards "experience thinking" in their product development processes. This partnership with Cadence enables our customers to keep pace with this evolution, says Philippe Laufer, Executive Vice President, Brands, Dassault Systèmes.
The solution will be available in the second quarter of 2024.
