Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division today announced the release of HxGN EAM v12, a new version of the leading enterprise asset management service in the SaaS model. This is the second major release of EAM since its acquisition by Hexagon in October 2021.
HxGN EAM v12 provides extended functionality in all areas. In particular, it expands its Asset Performance Management (APM) module by adding Root Cause Analysis (RCA) functions. In addition, it enables the calculation and visualization of Asset Investment Planning (AIP) with EcoSys. Finally, it adds enhanced capabilities for HxGN EAM Digital Work Mobile.
"We are convinced that this new version of HxGN EAM will significantly reduce the occurrence and impact of failures, says Peter Bynarowicz, product manager of Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division. "Our new RCA system allows customers to analyze incidents, diagnose equipment failures and apply the findings to equipment RCM models for future prevention. It is one of the first integrated holistic root cause analysis systems available on the market."
AIP enhancements are also at the heart of v12's added value. The now available graphical interface allows for advanced visualization of current spend sources, and how investments should be focused in the future. Via the new engine Constraint Optimizer, it is now possible to calculate the funding required to achieve the desired objectives for the selected assets.
Via Ecosys, users can visualize the results of their investment planning and compare several scenarios.
With this improved management of asset investment planning, organizations can ensure that critical assets have sufficient funding to meet their serviceability and service level objectives. This gives them a true long-term view of their capital investment plans.
This new release also adds several components to the Digital Work mobile platform, such as the use of custom tabs to allow access to external links configured in different records. It incorporates the capture of calibration records with increased control over measurement accuracy, as well as the ability to perform and record root cause analysis (RCA) directly from mobile devices.
"Our cloud-first mentality has been absolutely essential to the development and delivery of this v12 ofHxGN EAM. We have a patented, cloud-based solver that adds a lot of intelligence to our product and brings immense value to our customers."says Bynarowicz. " HxGN EAM v12 includes over 150 enhancements. There are not many products on the market that include so many, so quickly and in a non-disruptive manner. We're really proud of this solution and are confident that it will meet the needs of our current and future customers."
