In today's factory, the connection between real-world and virtual-world systems is a reality. In a sector where everything is accelerating, digitalization and the transformations it implies open up a whole new world of possibilities. This is precisely what the second edition of the "Industry of the Future" Challenge is all about.
Building on the success of the first edition in 2017, Atos, international leader in digital transformation, and SKF, world leader in bearings, have been joined by another big name in defense and security, ArianeGroup, European leader in space launch systems and propulsion.
The aim of this second edition is to bring to light new technological solutions that will improve the performance and quality of services in industrial environments.
The aim is to give startups the opportunity to submit a new, innovative project that will enable them to play an active role in transforming the factory of tomorrow. The 2019 edition will focus on 7 themes: cybersecurity, data science, the connected factory, people at the heart of the factory, ecology in industry, materials of the future, and new manufacturing processes.
New for 2019: European and Israeli startups on board
As of today, the official opening of the platform dedicated to uploading applications will enable volunteer startups to declare themselves. They have until February 15, 2019 to apply.
Au 1er In March, at the end of the first selection phase, the 12 finalists will have their projects supported right through to the final by "industry experts".
During this in-depth phase, startups will be able to adapt their project to the industrial context of ArianeGroup, Atos or SKF. They will benefit from personalized support, multidisciplinary feedback and real implementation prospects.
A grand finale on the Campus de l'Espace site, June 6, 2019
On June 6, 2019, the grand final will take place on the Campus de l'Espace site in Vernon (in the Eure region). There, the finalists will make their presentations in front of the heads of the 3 major partners, as well as many other players from French industry.
Following these presentations, the jury will announce the 5 winners, who will be awarded 5 separate prizes. For the most promising startups, the prize is a financial award of up to €6,000.
