The Industrial Efficiency Cluster of the Auvergne region will bring together the structures working on metrology, namely data analysis for productivity and sustainable development. The objective of the cluster is to develop new computer models and tools to bring rationality to decisions often based on experience and usage.
One goal: to innovate
The labeling of these groups follows the call for projects launched last May by the Auvergne Region, the State and Europe for the creation of new clusters of Auvergne excellence. Of the 7 candidates, only 3 were selected based on one determining criterion: their ability to innovate. The choice of these 3 clusters also responds to the intelligent specialisation strategy, requested by the regions by the European Union as part of the next 2014-2020 European fund programme.
Industrial efficiency cluster
Business sector: industrial metrology (data analysis for productivity and sustainable development)
Chair: Laurent LAPORTE - IP Leanware
Research and teaching:
The three founding companies specialize in industrial efficiency: the optimization of industrial processes through computer computing, data modeling, simulation/prediction, and statistics. The objective of the cluster is to give rationality to decisions often based on the experience and uses of industrial production companies, design offices, test laboratories, analytical laboratories. The object of the cluster is twofold:
1/ collaborate and get closer to laboratories to develop new models
2/ get increased visibility from companies that are still too little open to these techniques, thanks to the animation of a "Effectively Efficient Companies" club.
3 projects identified:
Piloting medrologically controlled processes,
Dynamic monitoring of measures,
Efficient Design (statistical tolerance)
